Do You Have Kids? Why You Should Choose Our Pediatric Dentists
Comprehensive Dentistry for All Ages
Drs. José Montoya, Ashley Ramsey, and Neha Khanolkar can treat patients of all ages in a single office. Because we have two general dentists and a board-certified pediatric dentist on our team, we can meet the needs of every member of your family without referring you to an outside doctor.
Board-Certified Specialist
While other doctors may offer pediatric services, not all doctors possess the additional training offered by our team. Dr. Ramsey is a board-certified pediatric dentist. In addition to her regular dental school training, she has passed rigorous tests in order to obtain board-certification in the field of pediatric dentistry.
Advanced Dental Technology
Our pediatric dentists use advanced technology to make dentistry more efficient and comfortable for young patients. During your child's appointment, we may use digital radiographs or our cone beam scanner to thoroughly diagnose their oral health issues, or our dental laser to carefully treat the teeth and gums with minimal discomfort.

Excellent staff. A++++ treatment, great with the kids... our whole family goes here for treatment. Highly recommended. Their follow-up and appointment reminder system is tuned just right- not too many calls, but a well-timed gentle nudge. When is it a good time to bring your child to the dentist?
Pediatric Dentistry Experts Recommend a Check-Up by Their First Birthday
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics all recommend that children attend their first dental visit by age one.
Many parents mistakenly believe that baby teeth do not have to be cared for as strictly as permanent teeth, but healthy baby teeth can help your youngster maintain proper chewing, nutrition, speech development, and permanent teeth development. Our pediatric dentists strongly believe in the importance of patient education. During your appointment at our Rowlett, TX, office, we will provide the treatment, information, and tools you need to maintain healthy smiles at home.
Is your child afraid of going to the dentist?
We Proudly Offer Pediatric Sedation
We understand that many children are afraid of going to the dentist. To help young patients feel at ease and build a positive association with dental care, we maintain a calm, child-friendly atmosphere and we treat every visitor the way we would treat one of our own family members.
We also offer sedation dentistry to make pediatric dentistry more comfortable. At our Rowlett, TX, office, patients can choose between nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral medications, or intravenous (IV) sedation. Our dentists can help you choose a method of sedation that meets your youngster's unique needs, helping them feel comfortable and decreasing their anxiety about future appointments.
A Focus on Preventative Treatments
We are a preventatively focused dental practice, which means our doctors work hard to prevent oral health diseases before the onset of symptoms. As part of your child's preventative dentistry plan, we may prescribe sealants, fluoride treatments, or mouthguards.
Common Pediatric Services
- Endodontics: Our doctors can perform pulpotomies, or root canals for young children, using advanced materials such as mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA).
- Frenectomies: During a frenectomy, one of our doctors can remove overgrown soft tissue within the mouth. This procedure can help children with their speech and eating habits, or babies who are having trouble nursing.
- Fillings: Our team offers white fillings made of composite resin. Unlike metal fillings, white fillings blend in seamlessly with the surrounding teeth. If we cannot complete the treatment for any reason, we might recommend silver diamine fluoride, a material that works to arrest dental decay, until we can place a restoration.
- Orthodontics: We can provide orthodontic space maintainers, braces, or Fastbraces® for children who need efficient orthodontic treatment.
- Stainless Steel Crowns: For children who have extensive decay that cannot be managed with a white filling, we offer stainless steel crowns and stainless steel crowns with white coverings.
- Sealants: Sealants fill in deep grooves on the surface of teeth and molars, reducing the risk of decay and cavities.
- Tooth Extractions: For the most damaged teeth, we can perform gentle tooth extractions.
"I Would Highly Recommend Taking Your Child Here"
I have all my 3 girls here for the cleaning and treatment not very long time ago. This is the best switched dentist we made. As a mommy of special need kids, i am nervous when looking the new dentist for my girls. I made the right decision. The staffs here are so friendly, welcome. The dentist is so professional, they explained everything before they do something. My twin girls are ASD so they need more attention, more help from trained staffs. They have a good experience here. The little girls also have some toys from treasure chest after they done or have coin to get toys from the coin toys machine. That is not something expensive but the kids will feel to be care, and they are happy after the visits.
Both my boys see Dr. Ramsey and the entire staff is AMAZING. My oldest son (7 years) had to have a little work done and they did everything to make him as comfortable as possible. Dr. Ramsey and GiGi kept telling him how brave and proud they were of him, as well as making sure my youngest (22 months) had a tablet and toys to play with. The lady at the front desk is always sure to give me school notes, and make sure I’m aware of all appointments and insurance details. I would highly recommend taking your child here.
