Dr. Ashley Ramsey has always loved working with children. A native of Tennessee, she grew up babysitting and working as a camp counselor with children of all ages. At the same time, Dr. Ramsey had a love for the sciences, leading her to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

While in college, Dr. Ashley Ramsey became interested in dentistry and spent time observing numerous dental specialists to determine which type of dentistry would be a good fit for her. As soon as she visited the first pediatric dental office, she knew she had found what she wanted to do. Dr. Ramsey earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.

After receiving her certificate in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Ramsey went through extensive written and oral testing to become a board-certified pediatric dentist.

Dr. Ramsey and her husband, Dr. Jose Montoya, opened My Kidz Mouth Dental and My Mouth Dental so all members of a family could receive excellent dental care in one convenient location.

A Devoted Wife and Mother

During her training, Dr. Ramsey met fellow Tennessee alum, Dr. Jose Montoya, whom she married in 2008. Dr. Ramsey and Dr. Montoya relocated to Dallas in 2009, but have made the Rowlett, TX, area their home to be closer to family and to enjoy lakeside living.

When Dr. Ramsey is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, reading, and exercising. Drs. Ramsey and Montoya have two children—Elizabeth "Ellie" Montoya, born in 2014, and Calero "Cal" Montoya, born in 2016.
