Introducing the Solea Laser
While My Mouth Dental/My Kidz Mouth Dental has used a diode laser for soft tissue procedures in the past, we're now using the Solea® All-Tissue Laser from Convergent Dental. This CO2 laser operates at a unique wavelength of 9.3 microns and is more powerful and versatile than other lasers. It is FDA-approved to perform hard and soft tissue procedures, treating everything from gums to teeth to bone.
Take Back Your Oral Health in Comfort The Benefits of Laser Dentistry in Rowlett, TX
Gentle Procedures
The Solea laser is precise and significantly improves the patient experience. The laser is so gentle that dentistry procedures can be completed without injections, meaning you or your child won't have to worry about needles. It also sterilizes the treatment site and seals soft tissues as it works, lowering your chances of developing an infection and minimizing bleeding so sutures aren't necessary.
Pain-Free Treatment
Laser dentistry is often pain-free, as the laser produces an analgesic effect and prevents pain signals from reaching the brain. This means our dentists don't have to administer anesthesia for treatments and you don't have to deal with the feeling of being numb for hours after you leave our office. Instead, you can recover quickly and comfortably after your procedure.
Comprehensive Care
Because it works so quickly, the Solea All-Tissue Laser allows our team to offer more same-day dentistry solutions. If you've been putting off dental care but you're finally ready to address your concerns, the Solea laser will allow us to treat more of them in a single appointment at our Rowlett, TX, dental office.
Procedures We Can Complete Using the Solea Laser
Frenectomy
If you, your child, or your infant have a tongue or lip tie, our Rowlett dentists can perform a gentle frenectomy in minutes.
Fillings
Cavities are dangerous, causing pain and widespread damage if not treated quickly. Our dental laser can precisely remove decayed tissue from a tooth to alleviate pain and keep adjacent teeth healthy and free of cavities.
Crowns
Prepping a tooth for a crown no longer has to involve loud drills. Instead, dental lasers can remove the damaged or decayed tissue and reshape your tooth to accommodate a crown.
Gingivectomy
Whether you're improving your candidacy for a procedure like dental implants or you simply wish to stop gum disease in its tracks, laser dentistry can gently remove the diseased tissue. Since the laser also seals the gum tissue, sutures are often not needed.
Tooth Exposure
If you have an impacted tooth that's trapped beneath the gums, our dentists can use the Solea laser to remove a small amount of gum tissue. The tooth can then be guided into proper alignment with orthodontic treatment.
Canker Sore Treatment
Our Rowlett dentists can gently remove canker sores from the mouth, and you can enjoy a shorter healing time with laser dentistry. While canker sores can still reoccur, laser treatment can lengthen the time between breakouts.
